Are you a dedicated bike shopper? Do you pride yourself on the crazy things you’ve strapped on your bike and rolled away with? Here’s your chance to show off, and a chance to win some prizes.
We have gift certificates and other prizes set aside for people who take our Bike to Shop Challenge and it could very well be you! All you need to do is take a photo of your bike and/or you on one of your shopping trips, then send it to us. We’ll post the photo on this web site and on social media and enter you in our prize drawing.
Step 1: Take your bike shopping photo. It can be your bike laden with purchases (with or without you) or an action shot of you shopping by bike. If the photo isn’t square, we’ll probably crop it square, so keep that in mind.
Step 2: Send us your photo. Email it to us at ShopbyBikeSV@gmail.com. Or upload it to the Bike to Shop Day Facebook page. Or upload it on another social media (like Instagram or Twitter or Flickr) and email us a link to it. Include your first name and home city plus a caption to make it more interesting. Deadline is Sunday, May 24.
Step 3: Look for your photo to be posted. We’ll post photos to the BiketoShopDay.org site as we get them and post to the Facebook page every Thursday. Feel free to share a link to your photo to tell your friends and family how cool your shopping bike it. Heck, share it with the world and earn some bonus tickets.
Step 3: Rack up some bonus tickets for the drawing. Send one photo in and you get one ticket. Send a second photo of a different bike setup or store and we’ll give you another. For every 5 likes you get on your photo(s) on Facebook you’ll get another bonus ticket. We’ll also add two more bonus tickets for Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition members. Become a member or renew your membership here using the BTSD promo code for a special rate. Do the math: an SVBC member who enters two photos and gets 10 likes will earn six tickets!
Step 4: See if you’re a winner. On Thursday, May 29, we’ll do our prize drawing and notify the winners via email and announce it the public via the Bike to Shop Day and Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition web sites and social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
